What is a Marketing Sales Funnel and Why You May Want Click Funnels

The reason is because marketing has become so fragmented its hard to be a household name these days. And yet people tend to only buy from someone they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST.

So how do entrepreneurs market these day? With a sales funnel. Or funnel for short.

Funnel Steps

1. Awareness
2. Lead Magnet
3. Nurture
4. Offer your product or service

Awareness
This is how you get noticed. It could be a youtube video, blog article, or even consistent instagram posting to get traffic to your bio link. In general producing good content about your topic or subject of expertise is always a good strategy.

Lead Magnet
This is where you exchange something of value for FREE in exchange for an email address or other way of contacting your perspective customers. I know I’ve signed up for PDFs explaining how to create converting facebook ads or how to properly target your ads to the right audience.

Nurture
This is probably the MOST important step in the funnel, but the one that is often overlooked or undervalued. As I mentioned sales and marketing now is all about KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST. and all of that is built here in the nurture phase.

So what does this look like? On an email list, it would be an email sequence where you give your background story, how you faced similar struggles as your audience, and what steps you took to make progress or get better.

Also share information on your product, service or course and begin to address some of the barriers your customers may have to buying from you.

Make the Offer
Ultimately the point of all of this is to make an offer. Not a sale. A sale sounds like selling, but offering your product or service as a solution for those who need it is the best way to actually get sales.

Additional Thoughts
You don’t have to get too fancy. If all of this is a little overwhelming, just think about how you can provide value to your potential customers BEFORE you ask for a sale. A free PDF of how to run facebook ads or how to sell products on Amazon etc is a fair exchange for an email address where you can follow up in the nurture phase and build your relationship with your audience.

Final Motivation
I was thinking about all the other entrepreneurs in my mastermind who are making money using a marketing funnel on click funnels and how I could use their stories to motivate you, but I’ll share this one. I was walking into Whole Foods (which I almost never do but my wife likes the store and wanted me to get some flowers for her there) and on my way in a young 20-something year girl woman was walking out wearing a click funnels “funnel hacker” t-shirt. Which just reminded me that if you don’t have a marketing funnel these days – you might just be falling behind!
